ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 8, 2023) – A byproduct of growth is the subject of a public meeting in Zeeland on Monday evening.
City leaders and staffers will be going over the results of a study done last summer on downtown parking during the 90-minute-long session at the Howard Miller Community Center (14 S. Church St.). Mayor Kevin Klynstra and others were told by contracted researcher Rich and Associates that there were 553 available parking spaces in the main commercial district.
However, one proposal for keeping parking spots open – the installation of parking meters – is a non-starter.
The Downtown Meeting begins at 6 PM.
