HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 2, 2023) – Four years after asking voters to approve a $26.3 million dollar bond issue for renovation and expansion of its West 24th Street facility, which the electorate did, the Holland Aquatic Center is back with another ballot request.
The 2019 bond request was for 20 years at one and a quarter mills to renovate the Aquatic Center that was built 55 years ago. On May 2nd, the HAC will seek approval of a five-year, one-mill proposal to maintain operations at current levels. It’s no change from previous millage rates, according to General Manager Amanda Duimstra.
Audio PlayerVoters who live within the boundaries of the Holland Public Schools district will have their say on this proposal.
