MARSHALL, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – More money is on the way for a proposed automotive battery plant in Calhoun County. The Michigan Strategic Fund has given approval to $120.3 million for the Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance.
The money is a grant for Ford Motor Company’s BlueOval Battery Park planned for Marshall near I-94 and I-69. The grant will be used for land acquisition, site preparation, wastewater and water upgrades and more.
Governor Whitmer announced the funding yesterday.
