This evening at 5:40 PM, hear the Zeeland East at Holland girls/boys doubleheader with Greg Chandler on 99 7/1450 WHTC, or the Martin at Saugatuck girls/boys doubleheader with Eric Van Swol on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van. Other such scheduled twin-bills include: Holland Christian at Spring Lake, West Ottawa at Jenison, Hamilton at Unity Christian, and Galesburg-Augusta at Black River. Zeeland West’s boys are at Muskegon, with the Dux hosting the girls’ game, and Fennville’s girls are at Bridgman.

Grand Valley State swept a pair of games from visiting Michigan Tech last night. In the opener, Paige Vanstee came off of the bench to score 13 points as the women avenged an earlier loss to the Huskies in Houghton, 60-43. Marius Grazulis’ 17 points were enough for the Lakers to take the men’s nightcap, 79-74. GVSU’s teams host the Northern Michigan Wildcats at the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale tomorrow afternoon.
In state major-college basketball last evening, Detroit fell in Milwaukee, 94-89, but Oakland won at Green Bay, 59-47.

Filip Zadina’s goal six minutes into the third period broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Red Wings a 2-1 decision over the visiting Calgary Flames last night. Detroit hosts the Vancouver Canucks at Little Caesars Arena tomorrow afternoon.
The Blackhawks are home to the Arizona Coyotes at the United Center in Chicago this evening.
