ALLEGAN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public to locate a missing Leighton Towhship man.
Authorities say 42-year-old Avel T. Martinez was reported missing by his spouse at their home in Leighton Township on Monday, November 21.
Martinez’s vehicle was found abandoned near Riley and North Lakeshore Drive in Ottawa County on Tuesday, November 22. An extensive search of the area was conducted by deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Search and Rescue Teams as well as area fire department personnel.
Police believe Martinez left the residence voluntarily and foul play is not suspected.
He is described as a Hispanic male, 6′ 1″ tall, weighing 185 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
