PARIS (Reuters) – Nissan said on Tuesday that it was deepening its reflection on how alliance partner Renault’s new electric vehicle business could be beneficial for the Japanese carmaker and how it would participate.
“We are considering to invest in the new Renault EV entity subject to the outcome of the discussions,” Nissan said in a statement.
Discussions over a new governance structure for the alliance were also continuing, it said.
“The discussions are going in the right direction and we will take the necessary time to build this new chapter of the Alliance.”
