LANSING, MI (WKZO-AM/FM) – More than 200,000 Michigan households are getting help paying their home heating bills. Checks are going out this month to families who received Home Heating Credits in 2021.
Households with seniors, people with disabilities, and children younger than five years old will get $575, while all others that qualify will receive $380.
About one-third of Michigan households reported cutting back on basic expenses they could pay their energy bills in the past year.
