EAST LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State University President Samuel Stanley is leaving his post earlier that previously announced.
Stanley announced last month that he was resigning because he lost confidence in the Board of Trustees. He sent a letter to the MSU community thanking them and saying he will be out Friday.
MSU has appointed Provost Teresa Woodruff as interim president and officials say Stanley will continue to advise her after he leaves. He will be paid through January 11, 2023.
