BOSTON, MA (WKZO AM/FM) – The Boston Bruins cruised to a 5-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings Thursday night.
Brad Marchand made his season debut and recorded two goals and one assist. Charlie Coyle, Craig Smith and David Pastrnak also scored for Boston.
Jeremy Swayman stopped 28 of the 29 shots he faced the Bruins.
Adam Erne found the back of the net for Detroit. Ville Husso made 28 saves on 33 shots for the Red Wings as they dropped their second straight game. Detroit is 3-2-and-2.
The Red Wings are back in Detroit for tomorrow night’s game against the Minnesota Wild.
