In the hustle and bustle of today’s world, especially in the morning, sometimes it’s admittedly tough to stop and see the clouds.
It seems as if the days surrounding the two eqinox on the calendar … the arrival of spring and the arrival of autumn … are the best ones for seeing sunrises. There are enough clouds for the rising sun to shine off of, creating scenes from His Hand that human artists would be hard pressed to even duplicate, let alone surpass.
Such was the case on Wednesday, for during a relatively short (1½ mile) walk from the station to the northern edge of the Unity Bridge, there were some scenes that rose above the noise of the morning commute and the setting of downtown buildings to inspire the imagination of those who wished to rise with those scenes. It’s a benefit of being able to take a 7 AM lunch break, and makes getting up at 2:30 AM for a 4 AM-1 PM weekday shift worth it.
We added the hawk photo that Patty V. told us about during a news post yesterday (Sept. 20). Glad that the predator stuck around for this photo, and one couldn’t help think about one of our predecessors as News Director, as Greg Chandler was known as the News Hawk during his days here in the 1990’s. He’ll be in his perch at West Ottawa’s new stadium this Friday night for the Panthers’ football game against visiting Hudsonville, a contest he will cover for us, beginning at 6:40 PM, on 99 7/1450 WHTC.
Thanks!
