Our walking excursions took us due south from the station on Central Avenue and 4th Street on Monday.
In younger days with a longer lunch hour, a jaunt all the way to US-31 on the South Side was no big deal. Now with less time to stroll and a couple of decades of more wear and tear on the bodily chassis, a visit to Evergreen Commons about a mile and a quarter away was just about right in time and distance.
We hadn’t included some landmarks in our earlier Postcards series, so we focused on these scenes that are the latest additions to the online photo album. We hope that it brings back some good memories of Holland for those of you who may no longer live in this area, and shows that we are far more than just tulips in the springtime.
