PARK TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 28, 2022) – Authorities are looking for a suspect in an pre-dawn Sunday robbery of a convenience store on the way to the beach on Holland’s North Side.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Wildfong, deputies were dispatched to the Mobil Mart off of Ottawa Beach Road at 6:20 AM. That was where a clerk, preparing to open the establishment, saw a man smash the glass front door and demand money. An undisclosed amount of cash was handed over, and the suspect fled on foot. The clerk was shaken but unhurt, and there was no immediate word from Wildfong as to whether a weapon was brandished.
The clerk described the suspect as a mustachioed Hispanic man in his mid to late 20’s, standing about 5-9 and weighing 130 pounds with a thin build and long, black hair.
Anyone with any information as to the suspect or the incident is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
