DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers’ 2023 schedule has been released.
Detroit will face every team next season as part of the new MLB schedule. The Tigers open the season at Tampa Bay March 30, 2023. The Tigers’ home opener is against the Red Sox April 6.
Major League Baseball is going to more than double the number of Interleague games for all 30 teams next season.
The 2023 balanced schedule will decrease the number of divisional games for each team from 19 to 13 games for a total of 52 games.
Interleague games will jump from 20 up to 46 games. Each team will play four Interleague games against their considered natural rival in a home-and-home series.
