OTTAWA COUNTY, MI (WHTC AM/FM) — The preliminary unemployment rates for June 2022 were recently released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget.
According to a news release dated Monday, August 1, Ottawa County’s unemployment rate for June measured 3.6%.
Officials say this unemployment rate is currently the fourth lowest in Michigan, with rates ranging from 3.2% in Livingston County to 9.0% in Roscommon County.
Sixty-nine of Michigan’s counties saw an increase in their unemployment rate from May to June. However, over the course of the year, jobless rates have fallen for all eighty-three Michigan counties.
