DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers selected Texas Tech second baseman Jace Jung with the 12th overall pick in last night’s Major League Baseball draft.
The left-hand hitting Jung batted .335 with 14 homers this past season for the Red Raiders. That followed a 2021 season in which he was named the Big 12 Player of the Year as he belted 21 homers and hit .337.
The Tigers selected Oklahoma shortstop Peyton Graham in the second round.
