KANSAS CITY, MO (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kansas City Royals scored four runs in the fourth inning as they topped the Detroit Tigers 5-2 Wednesday afternoon.
Hunter Dozier had two hits and drove in a run for the Royals. Brady Singer gave up just one run over six innings to earn the win for the Royals, who are 35-and-53.
Tarik Skubal allowed five runs over six innings to take the loss for the Tigers. Javy Baez had two hits and drove in a run for Detroit.
The Tigers have lost five of six after a six game winning streak and are 37-and-52.
Detroit has a make-up game at Cleveland tonight, before opening their regular three game series against the Guardians tomorrow night. The opening pitch tonight is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. EDT.
