HOLLAND, MI (WHTC AM/FM) – A $1,000 reward is now being offered by the Holland Department of Public Safety for information leading to the arrest of a murder suspect.
The Allegan County Prosecutor’s Office last week authorized a five count warrant for 39-year-old Thaddeus Cortrez Wilson of Holland. The charges include Homicide- Open Murder, Felony Firearm, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Holland DPS says Wilson has not been located since the shooting death of Joseph Roberts, and his current location is unknown.
On June 19 at approximately at 12:13 a.m. officers of the Holland DPS responded to a shooting at the apartment complex located at 956 Lincoln Avenue. Officers found 36-year-old Roberts with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers attempted life saving measures, but Roberts died at the scene.
Officers determined that some type of argument took place between the Roberts and Wilson prior to shots being fired. They say many potential witnesses fled from the area prior to police arriving on scene.
Holland DPS officials say they believe that several people may have information related to the shooting and they are requesting anyone who has information about the homicide to contact the Holland Department of Public Safety at (616) 355-1100 or the Ottawa County Silent Observer at (877) 88-SILENT or (877) 887-4536.
