WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC AM/FM) – The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners has signed contracts with nonprofit partners who will be responsible for soliciting eligible projects for consideration of the county’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding from the federal government.
Lakeshore Advantage will lead business stabilization efforts, HousingNext will support the identification of affordable housing projects, and a collaboration between the Holland/Zeeland Community Foundation, Grand Haven Area Community Foundation, and the Greater Ottawa County United Way will work under the name Care Ottawa to identify critical social and human services endeavors.
County officials say those organizations will work in the community to solicit applications for funding, but final project and funding approvals will be funneled through the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners.
The county is also asking resident to fill out an online survey to help them set funding options and priorities. They say the questionnaire takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete and closes August 1, 2022.
