LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – With just over three weeks until the August 2 primary, the race for the Republican gubernatorial nomination has taken a turn in favor of commentator and former news personality Tudor Dixon, according to a new survey conducted by Mitchell Communications & Research and commissioned by MIRS.
The poll shows Dixon surging ahead, now holding an 11% lead over her rivals with 26% of the vote.
Dixon recently picked up key endorsements from Right to Life of Michigan, the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, and the powerful DeVos family.
The Ottawa County Republican Party is hosting a Governor Candidate Forum Tuesday night, with Dixon, Ryan Kelley and Ralph Rebandt scheduled to appear in person, with Garrett Soldano and Kevin Rinke appearing via video link.
