CHICAGO, IL (WKZO AM/FM) – A crucial Robbie Grossman error led to a pair of runs for the White Sox in their 4-2 win over the Detroit Tigers in Chicago Sunday.
Grossman dropped a fly ball with two outs in the eighth to give the White Sox a chance to take the lead late in the game.
Kendall Graveman picked up his third victory of the season after pitching a scoreless inning in relief. Gavin Sheets went deep for his seventh homer of the year.
Michael Fulmer was tagged with the loss after allowing a pair of unearned runs in two-thirds of an inning.
Javier Baez provided all of the offense for the Tigers with a first inning two-run home run.
Detroit is now 36-and-49. The Tigers will visit the Royals in Kansas City with a doubleheader slated to begin this afternoon. The first game is scheduled to begin at 2:10 p.m. EDT, with the second at 8:10 p.m. EDT.
