Boat capsizes near South Haven, four rescued unhurt from the water

SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WHTC AM/FM) – Four people had to be rescued after their 30-foot boat capsized while in the Lake Michigan entrance to the Black River Channel in South Haven Saturday evening.

Emergency responders said the boat’s engine stalled, causing the powerless boat to be swamped around 7:00 p.m.

All four were rescued from the water and were unharmed.
