LOS ANGELES, CA (WKZO AM/FM) – The Big Ten will expand to 16 schools with the additions of UCLA and the University of Southern California.
The Detroit Free Press reports Big Ten presidents met Wednesday to discuss which West Coast schools they wanted, with USC and UCLA being the best options. This is the fourth expansion for the Big Ten since adding Penn State in 1990. USC and UCLA have been notified that their application to join the Big Ten has been accepted.
The schools will begin play in the conference in 2024.
