BOSTON, MA (WKZO AM/FM) – The Red Sox completed a three-game sweep in Boston Wednesday night, as they beat the Detroit Tigers 6-2 in their series finale.
Michael Wacha improved his record on the mound to 6-and-1 after allowing a pair of runs over six innings of work. Rob Refsnyder went two-for-four at the plate including a two-run homer for his first long ball of the year.
Tarik Skubal was tagged with the loss after surrendering six runs over four and two-thirds for the Tigers.
Javier Baez went deep in the loss for Detroit, which falls to 26-and-43.
The Red Sox improved to 39-and-31 with a fourth straight victory.
Detroit will visit the Arizona Diamondbacks tomorrow night.
