WASHINGTON D.C. (WKZO AM/FM) – Former Michigan Republican Party chairwoman Laura Cox says a group of fake electors planned to hide overnight in the state Capitol to certify the 2020 election for former President Donald Trump.
Cox tells the congressional January 6 committee that she told them it was “insane and inappropriate.” The phony electors still signed an electors slate and said they were in the Capitol for certification, even though they were not.
Michigan Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey also testified he received over 4,000 text messages after Trump shared his phone number online after being told by Shirkey and former House Speaker Lee Chatfield that they would not change his loss in the state.
