Nick Hoffman Claims Second CoSIDA Academic All-America® Track and Field/Cross Country Team Honor
Hope College’s Nick Hoffman has repeated as a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America Men’s Track and Field/Cross Country Academic All-America® Team for NCAA Division III.
The runner and public accounting major is one of 15 third-team selections and 45 selections overall. Hoffman (Holland, Michigan / Holland HS) also voted to the Academic All-America® Team in 2021.
It is the sixth time a member of the Hope College men track and field team has claimed the honor and the first time a member of the men’s cross country has earned the distinction.
Hoffman, who graduated last month, joins fellow track and field student-athletes Boone Marois (2016), John Donkersloot (2011, 2010), Jeffrey Minkus (2010), and Ryan TerLouw (2007).
In May, Hoffman qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships for the second consecutive season in the 1,500 meters and repeated as MIAA champion in the event. In March, Hoffman helped the Flying Dutchmen earn their first All-America honors in any event at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships with a fourth-place finish in the distance medley relay. In November, Hoffman qualified for cross country nationals as an individual.

Ana Tucker Voted to CoSIDA Academic All-America® TeamHope College’s Ana Tucker is an exceptional distance runner and student-athlete.
The junior exercise science major has been voted to the College Sports Information Directors of America Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country Academic All-America® Team for NCAA Division III.
Tucker (Midland, Michigan / H.H. Dow HS) is one of 15 third-team selections and 45 honorees overall in Division III.
It is the ninth time a runner from the Flying Dutch has claimed the CoSIDA Academic All-America® award. Tucker joins Chelsea Miskelley (2020), Sheri McCormack (2014), Nora Kuiper (2009), Rebecca Timmer (1999), Ellen Schultz (1998), Marie Matchett (1997), and Tauna Jecmen (1989, 1988).
In May, Tucker earned All-America honors in two events at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Tucker finished fifth in the 5,000 meters with a school-record run of 16 minutes, 36.43 seconds and eighth in the 10,000 meters with a time of 36:13.36. In March, Tucker qualified for indoor nationals in the 5,000 meters. In November, Tucker placed 11th at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships and earned All-America honors. Tucker also helped the Flying Dutch record their second-highest team finish at nationals at eighth place. Tucker helped both the cross country and outdoor track and field teams win MIAA titles.
