DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Daz Cameron played the part of hero in the Detroit Tigers 3-2 win over the Minnesota Twins Thursday afternoon.
Cameron hit a go-ahead two-run home run to help lift the Tigers to a third straight victory. Alex Lange was credited with his third win of the season after pitching a scoreless inning of relief.
Emilio Pagan blew his third save of the year, and suffered the loss, after allowing two runs in an inning of work.
With the loss Minnesota’s record drops to 30-and-23 and the Tigers improve to 21-and-30. Detroit took four of the five games in the series.
The Tigers visit the New York Yankees tonight and send right-hander Elvin Rodriguez to the mound. The opening pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
