LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The search for seasonal workers is well underway, and the state Department of Natural Resources has announced that it has increased the hourly pay rate for its 1300 seasonal employees to $15.
The previous hourly rate began at $10.20 to $12.
Officials at the DNR stated that the increase was necessary in order to attract the quality of employees needed to complete the department’s requirements.
The DNR is still seeking about 200 summer workers.
