LOS ANGELES, CA (WKZO AM/FM) – Walker Buehler tossed five scoreless frames as the Los Angeles Dodgers fended off the Detroit Tigers 6-3 Sunday afternoon.
Buehler improved to 3-and-1 after allowing only six hits and striking out five. Craig Kimbrel helped avoid some late trouble with his fourth save for Los Angeles, which climbed to 14-and-7.
Freddie Freeman supplied two hits and an RBI in the victory.
Eduardo Rodríguez took his second loss after surrendering six runs, four earned, over five-and-two-thirds innings.
Miguel Cabrera and Jeimer Candelario each went deep for Detroit, which fell to 7-and-14.
The Tigers are coming home after a tough 1-and-5 road trip.
Detroit returns home to play the Pittsburgh Pirates tomorrow and Wednesday.
