PAW PAW, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — For the entire month of April, the Michigan State Police, Paw Paw Post has been working with community law
enforcement partners to collect new purses and toiletry items for a Purses with a Purpose community event.
With April being Sexual Assault Awareness month, involved law enforcement agencies are using the Purses with a Purpose event to collect items for donation to various women’s shelters in Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Branch, St. Joseph, Allegan, and Barry Counties.
The Michigan State Police Paw Paw, Marshall, and Wayland posts on Saturday, April 30, are set to host “Stuff a Blue Goose” events at select Walmart stores located at the addresses listed below in Paw Paw, Battle Creek, Three Rivers, and Plainwell.

The “Stuff a Blue Goose” events will start at 11:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m.
Officials are hoping to generate donations of new and gently used purses as well as hygiene and personal care items to include toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, soap, lotions, brushes/combs, shampoo, conditioner, hair styling products, etc.
They are also looking to collect new socks in various lengths, sizes, and colors.
