BIRMINGHAM, AL (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Panthers are 0-1 as the USFL season kicked off this weekend in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Panthers lost to the Houston Gamblers, 17-12, but almost came back to win. Quarterback Shea Patterson hit receiver La’Michael Pettway in the corner of the end zone in the final seconds, but Pettway could not get both feet down in bounds.
