LAWTON, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – State Senator Aric Nesbitt filed for re-election today in the new 20th State Senate District, which includes portions of Allegan, Berrien, Kent and Van Buren counties.
In a release from his campaign Tuesday, Nesbitt said in his first term he helped stop Governor Whitmer’s massive tax increases and successfully passed landmark auto insurance reforms that have already put $4 billion in savings into the pockets of Michigan drivers. Nesbitt said he led the charge to expand broadband access in rural areas, stop unconstitutional government mandates, and prevent a governor from unilaterally increasing government debt.
“Inflation is hurting families and we need to improve our economy, so I’m fighting to provide tax relief for every worker, family, and senior. Government needs to live within its means, leave more money in the pockets of taxpayers, and use resources wisely on our priorities like making long-term repairs to our water systems, roads, and bridges,” said Senator Aric Nesbitt.
