ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The three-seed University of Michigan women’s basketball team punched their ticket to the NCAA Sweet 16 with a 64-49 win over 11-seed Villanova last night at Crisler Center.
Naz Hillmon had 27 points to help lead the Wolverines to their second straight trip to the Sweet 16.
U of M will tip off against 10-seed South Dakota on Saturday in Wichita for a spot in the Elite Eight.
The men’s basketball team also advanced toi the NCAA Sweet 16 and will face Villanova Thursday night.
