DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM0 – The Detroit Pistons say television play-by-play announcer George Blaha will miss the rest of the regular season. He has to have heart bypass surgery tomorrow after doctors found a problem during a routine checkup last week.
The 76-year-old says he is grateful doctors found the problem early and adds they expect him to make a full recovery.
Blaha is expected to return next season for the Pistons and as the radio voice of Michigan State football.
