INDIANAPOLIS, IN (WKZO AM/FM) – Despite leading by 20 points, seven-seed Michigan State University had to hold on to beat 10-seed Maryland 76-72 in the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament last night.
Max Christie had 16 points to lead the Spartans. MSU advances to play number-two seed Wisconsin tonight.
The University of Michigan let a 17-point second-half lead slip away in a 74-69 loss to Indiana yesterday in the Big Ten tournament.
DeVante’ Jones led the Wolverines with 18 points.
U of M exits the Big Ten tournament with an overall record of 17-and-14.
