MADISON, WI (WKZO AM/FM) – University of Michigan basketball coach Juwan Howard is in trouble after he grabbed and reportedly swung at a University of Wisconsin assistant coach after their loss in Madison Sunday afternoon.
After the game, Howard told reporters he did not think the time-out called by Badgers coach Greg Gard with 15 seconds to go was necessary, and he let Gard know that after the game.
The exchange became heated and other players and coaches got involved, leading to the large scuffle.
The Big Ten Conference has released a statement saying they are aware of the incident and they are working to “take swift and appropriate disciplinary action.”
Michigan lost the game 77-63.
