LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A second member of an alleged plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is agreeing to plead guilty.
Kaleb Franks is set to plead guilty to kidnapping conspiracy, which could get him a life sentence in federal prison. Franks and several others are accused of putting together a plot to kidnap the Democratic Governor reportedly related to coronavirus mandates and restrictions during the height of the pandemic.
In the plea agreement, Franks will admit to working with four others to kidnap the governor from June 2020 to October 2020. He was set to go on trial next month.
