DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers added two right-handed relievers in the Minor League Rule 5 draft yesterday.
Detroit selected former Seattle prospect Elvis Alvarado and former San Diego pitcher Nick Kuzia, The Rule 5 Draft usually involves players in both the major and minor leagues, but all MLB transactions are on hold due to the lockout.
The Major League portion of the draft could be rescheduled when a new Collective Bargaining Agreement is approved.
