OXFORD, MI (WKZO AM/FM)- Oxford High School will remain closed until at least January following a shooting last week that killed four students and injured seven other people.
Principal Steve Wolf says in a letter it’s been an extremely difficult tragedy to work through and “emotions will continue to shift.” He adds the experience is more than anyone should handle on their own.
Michigan State University students, many of them Oxford High School graduates, held a candlelight vigil for the victims of last week’s school shooting Tuesday night. The vigil was also held by the group Students Demand Action, which is pushing for an end to gun violence.
And despite being turned down by Oxford school officials, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says her office will launch an investigation into events that led up to the schools at the high school last week.
