ARLINGTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two people are in police custody after a traffic stop turned into a pursuit in Van Buren County.
It happened on County Road 215 near 28th Street in Arlington Township.
Deputies say they talked to the two men that were in the car, but then they drove away and lead deputies on a pursuit for several miles reaching speeds up to 90 miles per hour.
The driver eventually stopped and fled on foot and was later found hiding in the woods.
Authorities say the passenger, who was also arrested, had methamphetamine and was also on parole.
