ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An Ottawa County man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by another car that lost control on the highway due to slippery conditions.
25-year-old Diego Santoyo of Zeeland was struck while waiting outside of another car that went into a ditch on I-196 just north of Blue Star Highway in Allegan County.
Santoyo was transported to Holland Hospital with life threatening injuries while the other riders were taken to the same hospital with less threatening injuries.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
The Sheriff’s office was assisted by Life EMS, South Haven EMS and Ganges Fire Department.
