EAST LANSING, MI — The search continues for a Grand Valley State University student missing after a visit to the Michigan State University campus last Friday night.
The student — 18-year-old Brendan Santo — went missing after he left Yakeley Hall on MSU’s campus just before midnight Friday after visiting friends in the dorm. Michigan State University Police say Santo, who is from Rochester Hills, Mich., was last seen walking toward the Brody complex. Police say his vehicle has been located still on campus.
On Monday, local police focused their search on several sections of the Red Cedar River, which cuts through campus and sits just south of Yakeley Hall. Dive teams were seen in the water throughout the day Monday into the evening, according to media partner Six News WLNS in Lansing, but no further updates have been made available.
