BOYNE FALLS MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Boyne Mountain Resort has begun construction on what will be the longest timber-towered suspension bridge in the world.
Named “SkyBridge Michigan”, the structure will stretch over 1200 feet from McLouth to Disciples Ridge, and will be similar to the Gatlinburg SkyBridge located at Boyne’s sister resort in Tennessee.
Visitors will be able to reach the bridge via chairlift, and then walk across it, 118 feet in the air.
SkyBridge Michigan is set to be completed in June of next year, and will be open year-round.
