LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Governor Whitmer issued a statement Wednesday on the upcoming opening of the Michigan-Canada border in November.
Whitmer said that the longstanding relationship between the state and Canada is based on several factors, and that the agreement to permit vaccinated people to once again cross the border will help to return normal activities and begin to help fuel Michigan’s economic recovery.
There are four border crossing locations which will re-open: the Detroit/Windsor Tunnel and Ambassador Bridge in Detroit, the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, and the International Bridge in Sault Ste. Marie.
