HOWELL, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A visit to Michigan by President Joe Biden is scheduled for Tuesday. It’s part of an effort to try and generate public support for his Build Back Better agenda which includes an infrastructure plan that is currently being deliberated in the U.S. House.
The visit will take place in the community of Howell in Livingston County, according to a release by the White House. Biden will reportedly pitch the $1 trillion infrastructure bill which was approved by the U.S. Senate back in August. It would give hundreds of billions of dollars to states for various public works projects, including rebuilding roads, providing broadband internet among other things.
Democrats in Washington are currently negotiating with Republicans. Biden said Friday that it would get done while speaking at the U.S. Capitol in Washington.
President Biden’s last visit to Michigan took place in July.
