DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Detroit Red Wings forward Jakub Vrana will undergo shoulder surgery and miss at least four months.
Head coach Jeff Blashill said Vrana left practice with shoulder pain and met with a specialist this week.
The 25-year-old had eight goals and three assists in 11 games with Detroit last season after he was acquired from the Washington Capitals in a trade.
The Red Wings will be looking at Bobby Ryan, Lucas Raymond, and Joe Veleno to possibly fill the roster spot.
