LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – State lawmakers are considering a package of bills that are designed to give sexual abuse victims more time to sue.
The proposals would allow victims of the late Dr. Robert Anderson and others to get extra time to prepare and file their cases.
An element of the bills would prohibit governmental entities from using an immunity defense if they should have known or did know of incidents of sexual abuse and did nothing about it.
The bills now head to the State House Oversight Committee for discussion.
