DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Four Detroit firefighters and a woman driving a Mercedes were hurt when the fire truck hit her car and a house while responding to a high-rise fire. The crash Monday left the 50-year-old woman in critical condition.
Neighbors like Serena Rayford say the area at East Forest and McClellan is dangerous and says something needs to be done to get drivers to slow down.
The firefighters were treated and released from the hospital. An SUV was also involved after a utility pole was hit and knocked over by the fire truck, with it falling on the SUV.
