DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Baltimore Ravens are expecting to have their star quarterback play this Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
ESPN reports Lamar Jackson is “all fine” after missing practice on Thursday due to an illness. The fourth-year quarterback has yet to miss an NFL game due to injury. Jackson starred in a 36-35 comeback win over the Kansas City Chiefs last weekend and said he was sore after doing a flip into the end zone.
Jackson threw for 239 yards and a touchdown and rushed for over 100 yards and two scores in the win. Jackson may have to put on a show too, since the Ravens’ defense has given up over 30 points in their first two games.
The Lions are still looking for their first win of the season after a 35-17 loss to the Packers on Monday Night Football. Jared Goff threw two touchdowns in the loss, but also turned the ball over twice. He’ll be looking to find tight end T. J. Hockenson and wide receiver Quintez Cephus, who each caught touchdowns against Green Bay.
