ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Lions have placed cornerback Ifeatu Melifonwu on injured reserve.
The rookie suffered a leg injury in Monday night’s loss at Green Bay. Melifonwu will be eligible to return October 17 when Detroit hosts the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Lions will sign Daryl Worley from the practice squad to fill the roster spot.
