LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The proposed state budget that has made it through the Legislature contains almost $200 million for repairs to bridges around the state, and while some say that the amount isn’t enough to totally take care of the problems, it is a step in the right direction.
Five bridges in Allegan County, four in Branch County, and one in Calhoun County are on the list for repairs/replacement.
No bridges in Kalamazoo County are earmarked for funding; all but three bridges are in good condition.
A timetable for the repairs has not been released.
